The Countdown Begins

In exactly one month from today, I will be attending my third Hanson show at Casino Nova Scotia, right here in Halifax! There is nothing I have ever experienced that compares to the magic of their concerts. They transport me to another world where I forget my worries and I’m free to be myself and live inside of the music. There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing your favourite band live, the energy that pulsates through your veins and sets you free and makes you feel as though you were soaring. I go to a Hanson show one person and come back another, my confidence and my joyful passion for life renewed. I find myself high on happiness for at least a week afterward.

The timing couldn’t have been better for this August’s show. After waiting for four and a half years, I finally have the chance to see Hanson again, and I feel like everything else will start to fall into place from here. I have dreamed for fifteen years that they would come to the Maritimes and I admit that I had my moments of doubt. Looking back, I can see that each dream I have had related to Hanson has come true thus far. After six years, I was finally able to see them in concert for the first time. It took me ten years to finally meet them, but I did it. Now, I finally have the opportunity to see them play in my own town. It just goes to show you that there is no dream that can’t be realized when you want something enough and believe in it. I know that Hanson in Halifax is the result of the persistence of their fans and that we are lucky enough to have a band who really listens to us and treats us better than we could ever ask for. I believe that I will walk away from the concert renewed in spirit, and that it will make 2012 a year I will never forget.
