The summer has stretched out to welcome me and there are
still more adventures awaiting me around the corner, and not just the ones I
anticipate. I’m thankful that there is more to occupy my days this time around,
that there is more inspiration around me and that I have been able to spend a
few days around my family. Today is a Thursday, but it feels more like a
weekend day since I returned to Halifax mid week. There were a few really warm
days this week that left me feeling low on energy, so I’m glad my friend the
rain is back. I hope that it will bring
forth the ideas that were stilled in my brain when I was too tired to think.
Blue skies and gray blend together as my weeks unfold,
and the clouds paint many different pictures of places I have been and places I
have yet to be. The moon has not held back either, bright and yellow and
bringing those blue skies into the night. I love full moons, the ones that
occupy even a little more space in the sky, because they make me feel less
alone, and that my dreams are closer than I thought they were. Underneath those
beautiful beams, I am reminded that not only is there reason to hope, but
reason to believe in the magic of our own power. I am briefly awakened to all
the possibilities waiting out there for me. When I wake up the next day, this
is a memory. The hours can feel so long. After every sunset though, the night
returns to remind me.
